LoppianoLab 2018

29 September 2018 - 30 September 2018   |   Loppiano (Fi) Italy   |   09:00

“From dream to commitment – Education, participation, and work fifty years after 1968”.

1968-2018: what is the legacy of the protest started from the United States and France 50 years ago? And what those experiences have to say today to Italy that was a protagonist of that season and today is questioning itself about its present and its future? Like every important anniversary, it is an opportunity for a reflection on a historical stage that has transformed Western society and culture with its demand for change. Not a memory of ’68, but the topical nature of a revolution, to shift from dream to commitment in three specific areas among the many that deserve attention: education, participation, and work.

This is the aim of the Ninth Edition of LoppianoLab, the national laboratory of economics, culture, communication, and training sponsored by Lionello Bonfanti Entrepreneurial Multicenter, Città Nuova Publishing Group, Sophia University Institute, the Focolare Movement in Italy, and the Loppiano International Center, where there are still intense repercussions of the recent visit of Pope Francis, on May 10 last.

Since its first edition in 2010, LoppianoLab has involved thousands of citizens, entrepreneurs, communication operators, students and teachers, politicians engaged in various fields, members of associations, and young people, from all Italian regions.

Through the workshop formula that distinguishes the event, LoppianoLab will collect questions and problems, but also resources and energy, while proposing paths for reflection to build the present and plan the future.

Each of the three themes – education, participation, and work – will be the focus of a plenary session, followed by a series of workshops aimed at involving the participants.

A novelty of the 2018 edition will be specific programs for children and teenagers.

LoppianoLab Junior. For children (4 – 10 years old), in collaboration with Big magazine: a workshop on education for emotions and a training pathway on nature, art, and entertainment.

LoppianoLab Teens. For teenagers (12 – 17 years old), organized by the editorial staff of Teens magazine: a journalistic workshop; a workshop on Social Media, and other workshops to make young people aware of issues concerning the distribution of wealth and resources on the planet.
