#TimeOutForPeace

The task is simple: at 12.00 (midday) everyday take 1 minute to stop and reflect or pray for peace. This way, there will be always someone doing #timeoutforpeace in every time zone in every country of the world.

At the beginning of the Gulf War, Chiara Lubich proposed this action to connect all those who hoped and worked for peace in a world where wars never seemed to end. The pledge is an opportunity to connect with people all over the world who are working to build peace and are inspiring others to work for peace.

TimeOut has been practiced by thousands of people. 1700 ‘Living Peace’ International schools practice TimeOut for Peace at 12 noon on every school day.

Why not try TimeOutForPeace beyond all borders and ring your friends, family or peacemakers from around the world when it is 12.00 in their time zone.
