The focal point of the evening will be the meeting with Wael Salibe (a young Syrian journalist) who will primarily share his personal experiences and then pass on to present Syria, ‘then and now’, with the help of audio-visual aids. Wael will speak in Arabic, accompanied by simultaneous translation in Italian. Later, there will be the free contribution of various associations and artistic performances of people who have adhered to the spirit of this initiative. Instrumental tracks, polyphonic songs and poems will be performed in various genres and different styles. There will also be a figurative art exhibition.

Other UNESCO Clubs will also be present for the occasion. The evening will be hosted by the Italian journalist, Samantha Berardino, and it will be broadcasted via streaming through the Facebook page: YOUth4Syria. Everyone is invited to send messages and comment the event. Some of these contributions will be read during the evening. The money raised during this event will be donated to the Syrian refugees through the Association AMU – Actions for a United World, working in Lebanon and Syria.
