Risana Outpatient Clinic

The RISANA Outpatient Clinic is rooted in the history of the citadel of Loppiano, Incisa Valdarno, FI, which was begun in 1964 as a place of witness for the Focolare Movement. The main goal of the international community of Loppiano is the re-evangelization of every aspect of life, in the light of the charism of Chiara Lubich.

Ever since 1998 a dental practice located in Incisa Valdarno has brought professionals linked to Loppiano into more direct contact with the local region. Over time, a network of specialists from diverse medical fields has been established, which has resulted in the establishment of an association along with the Outpatient Clinic. The RISANA Outpatient Cooperative Society, established on February 26, 2008 by 9 founding members, began operations on July 1, 2008.

The members believe in the fundamental need to recover a vision of medicine based on the respect and value of human life combined with the need for technological and scientific progress and a professionalism that strives for excellence and places the human person at the center of medical practice.

The RISANA Outpatient Clinic, set up as a private health facility, places at the basis of care, the intention of doing only what is useful, to do it in the best way and in accordance with the needs that the patient presents, adopting therapeutic choices that are most suited to the preferences, needs and life choices of the person requesting treatment.

All the services offered are highly professional and aim at the use of new methodologies. They are managed according to the principles of solidarity, reciprocity and respect for the person, so as to provide a service with innovative connotations compared to those present in the medical referral sector with a significant added value.

The choices relating to marketing strategies and service policy are based on wide accessibility combined with a professional level of quality, always taking into account the appropriateness of the treatments and therapy plans. The prices charged are proportionate to those prevailing on the market, but access to preferred rates is foreseen in favor of low-income patients and vulnerable groups of the population. Agreements are also implemented with local authorities on the basis of objective criteria, the ISEE model, for example. In addition, the Salve! Health to Share ODV “intervenes to deal with certain types of emergencies such as urgent dental care for non-EU subjects, as well as some additional services such as: home services or support services. Any profit margins are reinvested in solidarity projects, training and development projects for the health facility.
