INFORMATION for the processing of personal data – United World Week 2025

We wish to inform you that your personal data will be used in compliance with the fundamental principles set out in Legislative Decree no. 196 of 30 June 2003, the Personal Data Protection Code, and European Regulation 679/2016 (hereinafter ‘GDPR’, or General Data Protection Regulation), implemented in Italy with Legislative Decree no. 101/2018.

1. Data controllers

2. Personal data processing operations and related purposes

We summarize below all the operations we carry out that involve the collection, storage or processing of your personal data and the purposes we pursue with each of them:
• management of the personal data of people participating in activities organized and/or managed by New Humanity, by way of example only: training, events, seminars;
• storage of images on media intended for distribution and used for promotional and/or journalistic purposes, in relation to events organised by New Humanity also in collaboration with other entities, provided that they are shots or recordings made during participation in the activities and/or events.

3. Freedom to give consent and consequences of refusal

The provision of consent to the processing of personal data is necessary for the service requested and accepted by the interested party.

4. Legal basis for processing

The treatments and purposes indicated above are made legitimate by the consent of the interested party, with the exception of treatments imposed by law for which consent is not required.
Consent to the processing of images and their dissemination is also required.

5. Treatment methods

Your data is processed with the support of paper, computer and telematic means and is protected through adequate security measures suitable to guarantee its confidentiality and integrity.
In particular, New Humanity undertakes to adopt appropriate organizational, procedural and technical measures (firewalls, antivirus and other technologies) to protect your data against loss, theft, as well as unauthorized use, disclosure or modification.

6. Recipients

6.1 – The data provided may be made available to those working within NEW HUMANITY (contacts, collaborators, employees, those in charge of processing data within the scope of their respective duties).

6.2. – Your data may be communicated to subjects, entities or authorities to whom the communication of data is mandatory by law.

7. Data retention

Personal data will be retained until the cessation of the activity and in compliance with legal obligations. Personal data that do not need to be retained in relation to the purposes indicated will be deleted or transformed into anonymous form.

8. Rights of the interested party

The Applicable Regulations recognise a series of rights for interested parties, including, by way of example, the right:

  • to access their Personal Data
  • to request rectification
  • to update and delete, if incomplete, erroneous or collected in violation of the law
  • to request that the processing be limited to a part of the information concerning them
  • ​​to transmit to them or to third parties indicated by them the information concerning you (so-called “data portability”)
  • to oppose their processing for legitimate reasons
  • to revoke their consent at any time by means of a written request addressed without formalities to the Data Controller at the contacts indicated.

9. Providing feedback to the interested party’s requests and contact details

New Humanity also acts as data controller, also for the purposes of providing feedback to the interested party for the exercise of the rights under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (“GDPR”).

It is therefore possible to contact New Humanity for any request, clarification or feedback on the application of the legislation on the protection of personal data and for the concrete exercise of the rights of the interested party, better indicated in the previous paragraph, even in the event that it is necessary to provide for the updating, modification, integration, correction and/or deletion of the data, as required by the regulatory provision or in relation to the assessment of the specific needs explicitly expressed by the interested party.
