“I ask everyone not to provoke the defeated rivals,” said the Nobel Prize for Peace in 1991. The opposition supporters are in the streets for hours to celebrate the historic moment.

Burma-Myanmar is the first free elections after 25 years. In 1990 just Aung San Suu Kyi won a landslide victory. The military, however, annulled the vote and remained in power. Thus he began, in San Suu Kyi, a long odyssey.

In Rangoon 12-0 for Aung San Suu Kyi – the former capital Rangoon, Aung San Suu Kyi’s “National League for Democracy” won 12 seats in the lower house of Parliament, while the ruling party USDP not won anyone. This was announced by the Electoral Commission, starting to spread the first official figures. In the city they assign 45 seats.
