Rukanda <\/strong>\u00a0en est une, situ\u00e9e dans une zone particuli\u00e8rement difficile \u00e0 atteindre. Il n&rsquo;y a qu&rsquo;une seule route asphalt\u00e9e construite ces derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es et impraticable pendant la saison des pluies.\u00a0<strong>Les quelque 8000 personnes qui habitent la colline sont pratiquement isol\u00e9es.<\/strong>\u00a0L&rsquo;isolement physique affecte les aspects les plus importants de la vie communautaire. Le centre m\u00e9dical le plus proche est \u00e0 5 km, il n&rsquo;est rejoignable qu&rsquo;\u00e0 pied. La production agricole est faible et peu diversifi\u00e9e. La s\u00e9curit\u00e9 alimentaire est ainsi pr\u00e9caire et le taux de malnutrition chez les enfants est tr\u00e8s \u00e9lev\u00e9. L&rsquo;\u00e9ducation et la formation des enfants et des jeunes sont \u00e9galement tr\u00e8s pr\u00e9caires, en raison des grandes distances \u00e0 parcourir (la plupart des enfants doivent, chaque jour, marcher plus de 2 heures pour se rendre \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9cole), du mauvais \u00e9tat des b\u00e2timents scolaires et d\u2019une alimentation inad\u00e9quate.<\/p>\n<p>L&rsquo;acc\u00e8s \u00e0 l&rsquo;eau potable pourrait contribuer \u00e0 briser cette spirale.
