The Global Sumud Flotilla (GSF) is a civil and nonviolent project that sails to Gaza with the goal of delivering humanitarian aid and drawing attention to the protection of civilians in the midst of conflict.

The ships of the Global Sumud Flotilla are crewed by people committed to peace, while on land a support team coordinates logistics, communication, and responsible information campaigns. The flotilla seeks to create a safe and humanitarian space, fostering dialogue and respect for international law.

We are against war and in favor of every possible form of dialogue. In this decisive historical moment, we want to contribute to clear and responsible information about what is happening around the Global Sumud Flotilla (GSF), also reaching those who are encountering it for the first time.

What is the Global Sumud Flotilla, in brief

It is a civil and nonviolent flotilla that, in compliance with international law and regulations, aims to open a space for humanitarian relief and to put the protection of civilians back at the center. It is not a slogan: it is a concrete commitment made of routes, ships, and people.

What we mean by “land crew”

Not everyone gets on board: there are those who support the initiative from the ground. The land crew is the civil mobilization that accompanies and sustains the Flotilla: information, aid collection, public awareness, dialogue with institutions, logistics, and communication. This is the part in which we have always recognized ourselves: acting with prudence, respect, and determination, in the name of law.

Why together with Città Nuova

We collaborate with Città Nuova to offer a serious, plural, and verified narrative that places people, law, and dialogue at the center. From their encounters and editorial work we share content that helps to interpret current events without shouting, with responsibility and accuracy. Details may evolve; the method remains stable: listening, verification, and respect for the rules.

Dialogue, including interreligious dialogue

We believe in dialogue between people and communities, including those of different faiths. It is often a difficult but constructive journey. It is the only path that does not give up on the human dimension. For this reason, we seek it and propose it every day.

Good communication is also protection

Today, much of the information flows through social media and the web. For us, “communicating well” means being clear, verifiable, and calm. This is how the land crew supports and, to some extent, protects the Flotilla: by creating an informed and nonviolent public space that isolates extremism and brings facts and law back to the center.

We are the land crew. We continue to do our part: against war, for dialogue (including interreligious), and on the side of law. If you wish, walk with us: get informed, share, write your idea of dialogue. This is how, step by step, space is opened for peace.
