Finca La Fe

This is an AMU Project. Finca La Fe is a farm located in the Province of Camagüey. Cuba has a low propensity for agriculture and, as a result, there is little propensity to buy products of the land. This happens because there are no incentives for agriculture, access to finance for farmers is difficult, and it is very expensive to find and buy semi-finished materials, vehicles, and tools.

In this situation, farmers must carefully calculate costs and benefits, trying to keep losses and unforeseen events to a minimum. Especially in the Province of Camagüey, there is a shortage of agricultural products and the few products that they sell to the private or State market have high costs.

This initiative aims to facilitate the agricultural production of a specific farm in the town of Camagüey to support producers, meet the demand for agricultural food at sustainable prices from the population, and improve the living conditions of workers.
