The projects of AMU in Cuba include the development and promotion of the Economy of Communion on the island. Cuba is in a particular moment of its own history. For some years, several changes took place that are transforming the political, social, and economic approaches on the island. The latter, in fact, still maintains many reservations about proposals and methodologies that are widespread abroad.

The visions of the Civil Economy and the Economy of Communion (EoC) have been well received in the island, for the combination of aspects related to economic development and those related to social issues and to respect for the community and the person.

Many students, educators, professors, and small-scale entrepreneurs are interested in studying and experiencing this economic model, this way of doing business based on financial, social, and environmental sustainability.
