14 May 2015   |   , ,

A platform for the exchange of ideas and shared solutions on the theme of food, stimulating each country’s creativity and promoting innovation for a sustainable future, Expo 2015 will give everyone the opportunity to find out about, and taste, the world’s best dishes, while discovering the best of the agri-food and gastronomic traditions of each of the exhibitor countries.

THE PARADOX

Today, for every malnourished person there are two overweight individuals.

Nearly 805 MILLION people across the planet go hungry on a daily basis while 2.1 BILLION struggle with obesity.
Every year 36 MILLION people perish due to a lack of food while 29 MILLION die from diseases related to obesity.

This shameful imbalance is not only unsustainable, but immoral. What can we do to reverse it?

MILAN PROTOCOL PROPOSAL

Eradicate hunger and malnutrition by providing all populations with all-year access to adequate food. Halt the rise in obesity by promoting a culture of prevention on the impact of a balanced diet on health and encourage responsible and healthy lifestyles.
